The Dangerous Summer: 2018 North American Tour, pt. II Dekalb, IL (5/19/18)
It seems like forever since I’ve actually done a concert review! On Thursday, I made a really last-minute decision to see one of my favorite bands, The Dangerous Summer, at The House Café in Dekalb, IL. I have never seen them live before, and I’m so happy I decided to make the trip out to see them. The venue was so small and so intimate, but the crowd had such a great energy and excitement that it felt like there were hundreds of people there.
If you’ve never listened to The Dangerous Summer, I completely, 100% recommend them. In my head, they are one of the most iconic bands, and their music is incredible. Seeing them live just reinforced my opinion of them. The way they interact with the crowd, it’s like they’re playing for old friends. I get the feeling that they would keep the same stage-presence whether they’re playing to 30 people or 3,000 people. Their set was incredible, and the energy just increased as the night went on.
I’m hoping I get the chance to see them again. They have a few dates left on their current tour, so if they’re coming to your area, please go out and see them. You won’t regret it.
